Keeping Up With The Kardashians Just Dropped The Curtains After 14-Year Run – What Could Be The Possible Reasons?
Yes, you heard it right. Another television era comes to an end with the 14-year long run of Keeping Up With The Kardashians wrapping up officially. Kim Kardashian just announced the family’s TV show is shutting down after a successful run of more than a decade.
The show kicked off in the year 2007 and didn’t take much time to turn into a heavy-hitter in the prime-time reality show category. More than 14 years and 20 seasons later, the show is all set to wind up in early 2021 with its final season.
On her Instagram, Kim Kardashian posted an adieu note to the “amazing fans” as she announced the decision to pull out the show.

To our amazing fans – It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way. Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives. Our last season will air early next year in 2021. Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever. With Love and Gratitude, Kim
Kim added the caption: “Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever.“
If you wonder why the show was called off, here are some possible reasons based on the fans’ pure guesswork and assumptions.
1. Speculations were rife that Kim and Kanye’s marriage is falling apart after Kim announced that he would be running for the US presidential elections. Many felt that Kim was “embarrassed” at Kanye’s decision and was thinking about calling the marriage off. The fact that she didn’t want this part of her life to be documented, made it the main reason for ending the show. However, Kim killed the assumptions soon with a sweet, lovely Instagram Story for Kanye, supporting him on his decision.
2. Another reason for canceling the show might be that Kourtney Kardashian decided to quit the show since she was no longer interested in filming her personal life. She is a popular member of the celebrity family in the show, and without her presence, the show wouldn’t have been the same. The fan theory claims that without Kourtney, the show would run out of content, and that is why the decision to end the show popped up.
3. The last season of the show revealed that Tristan Thompson cheated on Khloe Kardashian with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods. However, soon the couple were back together, which attracted the netizens to backlash Khloe Kardashian for her decision. Could this be a reason for the show’s sudden end?
4. Keeping aside the complicated assumptions, we can accept one simple conclusion – that the family simply thought it was the best time to end the show on a high note, and hence, the Kardashians made the decision to pull the curtains on the reality show that stole millions of hearts around the globe.
